OBJECTIVES To assist the Head of music in preparing teaching materials, communicating with pupils and parents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Actively participating in teaching activities; providing support in class; assisting the Music teachers in preparing lesson plans and teaching materials; building a good relationship with the students.
2. Managing the department office, in particular making sure that the office is tidy and well presented for visitors. Responsible for ensuring that all relevant paperwork is organised and filed.
3. Assisting the Head of Music in procurement.
4. Assisting in events management for all department events, in consolation with the Head of Music.
5. Managing non-essential parental communication on behalf of the Head of Music.
6. Organising stock and materials.
7. Preparing and setting up classroom before commencement of class.
8. Translating articles about music and performing arts department events.
9. Keeping Music Rooms clean and tidy at all times.
10. Assisting in preparing music and performing arts trips.
11. Maintenance of all equipment within the music rooms.
12. Taking over Music class when teachers are absent.
13. Participating and assisting in music and performing arts related events.
14. Establishing regulations of music and performing arts practice rooms regarding reservation and others.
15. Assisting teachers in instruction of band, choir and drama performance.
16. Other assigned work as requested by the Head of music.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS
BASIC QUALIFICATION
-Education: Bachelor’s degree.
-Major: Music education related subject.
-Language: Native Chinese speaker and fluent in English, minimum CET-6, Familiar with terminology of the major and able to accurately express meanings.
-Skilful piano player or violin player
-Support Wellington Value.
EXPERIENCE Working Experience A minimum of 2-year relevant experience.
EXPERTISE -Outstanding communication in English and Chinese.
-Familiar with coordinating orchestra or drama rehearsals and performances.
-Familiar with Office software.

-International and bilingual school working experience is preferred.
-Cross-cultural working experience is preferred.
