This New Product Development Director will report directly to Senior VP and GM of with more than $1B revenue per year.

Lead the 30+ member NPI team to support new SiP product development, mostly WiFi & RF modules. The job location is in Shanghai.

Major responsibilities include the following:

• A critical leadership position responsible for advanced System In Package (SiP) module products. Product types include WiFi, RF, and other functional modules.
• Directly work with customers’ engineering and QA teams, internal R&D and TD teams, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Production, and QA teams to ensure on time new product development milestone accomplishment and new products’ production launch each year.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of new assembly processes, new packaging technologies, engineering prototype sample build, assembly yield loss improvement, as well as on time reliability test completion.
• The NPI team includes the functions of Manufacturing Engineering, DFM, and Project Management.

Major qualifications:

• The qualified candidate must have minimum 15 years of direct hands on experience in semiconductor or system module new product development and process engineering. Strong engineering skills and project management experience will be required.
• Direct hands on experience in system level product engineering and semiconductor failure analysis will be a plus.
• Proven leadership capability of leading large factory level NPI and Process Engineering team to achieve aggressive new product development and volume ramp goals.
• Comprehensive and deep knowledge in semiconductor component level and system module reliability failure trouble shooting will be preferred.
• Being able to work with world class customers and suppliers to achieve demanding targets.
• Excellent follow up skill, with the ability to consistently get things done on time.
• Proven leadership capability in building and leading a high performance team.
• A good team player who can collaborate and influence other department leaders to achieve the common goals.
• Good communicator who can speak good English, and work with international customers and suppliers directly.
• BSEE degree is required. Master’s degree preferred.
