The Tax world is changing at an ever increasing pace, particularlyin the Asia Pacific region. As China continues to grow in prominence onthe global economic stage, both through increased interest from internationalcompanies looking to grow their footprint in China and from Chinese businessesrapidly expanding and investing globally, there is an enormous opportunity fortax professionals to develop their careers in China M&A tax services.

Our China M&A tax team is constantly involved in providing taxadvisory services to private equity and corporate clients in connection withrestructurings and mergers and acquisitions, advising on tax efficientinvestment structures and conducting tax due diligence. We also assistorganizations in dealing with the cost and opportunities arising from theintroduction of China’s latest tax policy, which includes advising on taxplanning strategies, tax implications on China investments and tax incentivesunder the new law. Currently we are seeking Assistant Tax Managers andTax Managers to join our China M&A Tax Team.

       Responsibilities

• Advise private equity and corporate clients on M&ATransactions, including tax due diligence projects on foreign targets,transaction structuring and documentation.

• Advise clients on tax effective holding and financing structures,investment strategies, post deal restructuring and integration.

• Work with and assist other senior members of the China M&A taxpractice in preparing tax due diligence and tax structuring advice reports, andanalyzing various technical tax issues, such as valuation and transaction modelling

• Team with other professionals to win new marketplace opportunitiesand engagements, and contribute to the growth of the KPMG China tax practice

• Assist with the infrastructure of the China M&A Tax team,including marketing materials and knowledge management

  
  

  Experience and skill requirements

• Excellent financial and business analytical skills, including adegree in Accounting / Finance / Law or any other business related discipline

• Candidates must have 3 to 5 years’ experience in PRC tax advisory,preferably in domestic and/or cross-border M&A and greenfield investmenttransactions for corporate and/or private equity clients

• Ability to think strategically and to analyze complex businesstransactions to identify key issues/risks

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Candidates must have strong English and Chinese language skills(written and spoken).

• Candidates must have strong presentation and communication skillsand confidence in dealing with domestic enterprises

• Candidates must have excellent project management, research,analysis and report writing skills

• Candidates should be globally minded, dynamic professionals withthe ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and handle multipleengagements and client service teams at a global level
