Medpace has established laboratories in the USA, Europe, Singapore, and China. Our services continue to expand, with the introduction of new laboratory capabilities in all our global locations. We are currently seeking a full-time Laboratory Supervisor to join our Medpace Reference Laboratory team in China, Shanghai. This position plays a pivotal role in research based drug development within the pharmaceutical industry. Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and effective operations of assigned areas and oversee employees working in these areas;

• Plan, delegate, and organize work activities within laboratory;

• Represent laboratory at Medpace meetings;

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase quality of services and operational efficiency

• Monitor laboratory quality assurance and quality improvement programs

• Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and government regulations;

• Together with Laboratory Director develop, conduct, and implement new technology and instruments;

• Provide advice and support to resolve technical issues including instrument malfunctions;

• Evaluate and assess laboratory personnel in conjunction with the Laboratory Director and oversee the fulfillment of training requirements for laboratory personnel

• Assist Laboratory Director with preparation of and monitoring laboratory budget;

• Consult with both internal and external staff to assess needs and to provide superior customer service;

• Provide excellent communication behaviors with clients; and

• Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and problem solving skills.

 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in related field with at least 6 years of experience as a Medical Technologist or 1 year of supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory;

• Proficient knowledge of GCP and drug therapy techniques;

• Knowledge of laboratory theory, pre-analytical variables, effective clinical laboratory testing and disease processes, and correlation with clinical laboratory.
