职位描述
Responsibilities:
1. Customers
?I have a deep knowledge and understanding of people’s needs and wants, their living situations andliving conditions in my local market, as well as their buying behaviour. I use this knowledge and my competence to plan, create and implement our graphic communication inside and outside the store.
?I work with the Customer Relations manager to plan and implement customer guidance and “how toshop” communication that helps visitors to easily orientate themselves within our store.
?I am responsible for ensuring that our graphic communication is:
o prioritised and placed correctly
o consistent and understandable
o clear and uncluttered
o supports self-choice and the mechanical sales system.
?I analyse the IKEA Customer Satisfaction survey, Brand Capital and other visitor feedback and usethese insights to improve the store experience of our visitors.
?I work with other functions and my colleagues to ensure that our store is always in shape as new.
?I work with other functions and my colleagues to ensure we are visitor-focused throughout the store.I do this by ensuring:
o all work is created and implemented with visitors in mind
o we minimise disruption when implementing major rebuilds and other day-to-day activities
o we take time to respond to our visitors’ needs when we are working on the shop floor
?I work proactively to maintain the safety and security of our customers and colleagues in the store.
2. Commercial/Business
I actively support my Communication & Interior Design (Com&In) manager in implementing the store business plan and the department action plan. I do this to support the optimisation of sales and our long-term growth by:
?taking ownership for how we are communicating the range, and working with the Com&In team tooffer relevant, functional, aesthetic and sustainable home furnishing solutions for the people living inmy local market.
?using my knowledge of the IKEA Concept, key strategic messages and the IKEA copy and visualidentity to plan, create and implement graphic solutions that support the commercial priorities andfacilitates the mechanical sales system.
?taking a leading role in overseeing the totality of customer store communication and building andmaintaining the store graphic communication strategies.
?actively working with the Com&In team and the commercial team to present and communicate theIKEA product range, reflecting its width and depth and strengthening our low-price profile on alllevels.
?working closely with the Visual Merchandise/Activity manager and other team members to ensurethe commercial calendar messages are communicated in a clear, consistent and inspiring way thatcompliments the products.
?working with the Interior Designer manager and the Visual merchandise/Activity manager to ensureconsistency in the way we communicate throughout the store.
?taking responsibility for coaching my Sales colleagues so that they understand how to work withprice and tactical communication in order to clearly communicate with our customers.
?working with the Com&In team and the commercial team to plan and implement range changes in asimple and cost-conscious way.
?educating the Com&In team and other functions on how to work with manuals, global directions andtools.
?actively supporting and developing co-operation with Sales and In-store Logistics through workingclosely together, sharing knowledge and respecting each other’s responsibilities to present the rangein the most commercial, inspiring and aesthetic way possible.
?taking responsibility for the ordering of materials and racking we use for graphic communication.
I deliver an action plan for my area by:
?supporting the Com&In department plan to reach agreed goals and key performance indicators(KPIs)
?ensuring a qualitative and efficient implementation in my store
?following up on the action plan and communicating progress to the team.
3. People
?I take an active part in the recruitment process of Com&In co-workers. I search for a combination ofIKEA values and specialist competence. I take into account the unique requirement of the Com&Inteam to combine practical, aesthetic and commercial skills.
?I inspire and challenge my Com&In colleagues to constantly increase their knowledge of people’s lifeat home and develop their home furnishing competence.
?I contribute to creating an environment where the IKEA culture is strong and where diversity isvalued.
?I am committed to the development of the Com&In team. I work with my Store Com&In manager,the Interior Design manager and the Visual Merchandise/Activity manager to define the individualdevelopment plans for each co-worker which reflect both business goals and personal needs.
?I set clear expectations and standards regarding goals and routines, and make sure that they areagreed upon and do regular follow-ups.
?I secure the training of the Com&In team to ensure the graphic communication competence neededwithin this function is constantly developed.
?I ensure that I have in place a living succession plan to secure strong leaders for the future
?I am up to date with global and local retailing, graphic design, media developments and designtrends.
?I actively support and develop the co-operation in the commercial team by contributing with myknowledge and competence.
?I create an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback withmy team and other colleagues.
?I actively engage the Com&In team in sustainability in order to contribute to the IKEA focus on socialresponsibility and care for the environment.
?I am responsible for my own development and look to my manager and my matrix to support me inimproving my competence.
4. Financial
I ensure all Com&In initiatives grow our business and I support the sustaining of long-term profitability. I deliver on my agreed goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) by:
?commercially driving sales through my short-term and long-term action plans.
?analysing my KPIs and working to create meaningful actions to achieve my agreed goals.
?understanding the impact of me and my team’s actions on the financial results of my area and knowwhich results we can influence.
?securing high quality, simplicity and cost-consciousness in the execution of my work by using globaltools and best practises.
?maximising opportunities to recycle and reuse materials in order to minimise our costs, both financialand environmental.
?securing quality in planning in order to implement tasks in an efficient way.
?constantly monitoring our performance against agreed goals, and adapting and taking action whenrequired.
Requirements:
?Extensive experience of working as a graphic designer. Higher education qualification in graphic communication design, media and typography.
?A passion and curiosity for, and understanding of, people’s life at home
?A passion for graphic communication, design, home furnishing and retailing.
?Extensive experience of working in a graphic communications team within IKEA, an advertising agency or retail design studio.
?Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using graphic design software (e.g. the Adobe Creative suite) and production tools (e.g. printers, pre-press production and print techniques).
?Creative and commercial visual competence with a keen eye for, and a good appreciation of, aesthetics in graphic design.
?Confident about communicating, influencing and coaching others.
?Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a larger team.
?Good analytical skills.
?Ability to prioritise and organise own work and the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of time available.
?Ability to adjust the style of communication to get the message across to the receiver and explain concepts and visual interpretation verbally.
?Considered decision-maker Proven problem-solving ability.
?Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to read and fully understand written English.
?Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
