Description
Develops hp's public affairs programs, including government relations, public policy, public relations, philanthropy, education programs, and internal/external communications. Communicates and represents hp's values, philosophies, policies and strategies to internal and/or external constituencies. Enhances hp's image, identity and relations with communities, educational institutions, government agencies, industry leaders, employees and stockholders. Interacts with community organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies to influence public perceptions, laws and regulations that advance the business interests of the company. Develops hp's public policy and regulatory objectives after analyzing the impact of laws and regulations on hp and identifies potential solutions. Utilizes expertise in government affairs, education, philanthropy, and public relations to help hp's business teams meet their strategic business objectives.
Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues, and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.
May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years related experience or Master's degree and 4-6 years experience.
