Job Description:
Position involves supervising PhD level scientist as well as designing and conducting novel experiments utilizing advanced PCR techniques including droplet digital PCR (ddPCR). The primary purpose of this position is to develop and demonstrate innovative new uses for qPCR and ddPCR, and to provide scientific expertise in advanced applications of qPCR and the emerging field of digital PCR. This position will interact with the China sales organization and the global Bio-Rad organization by supplying scientific expertise and experimental support.
--Perform experimental work that demonstrates biologically relevant advantages of the ddPCR system.
--Supervise additional scientist in support of the same goals listed here
--Develop strong expertise in the emerging field of ddPCR
--Develop collaborations with scientists whose research will benefit from the use of ddPCR and/or advanced qPCR techniques
--Provide scientific support in the areas of ddPCR and qPCR to the China sales force as needed
--Work with applications scientists in the US and worldwide to develop new applications and communicate those findings to the scientific community

Requirements:
--Ph.D in a biological science or related field, industrial and management experience is required;
--Creative thinking, innovative work, and the ability to work independently are critical;
--Great leadership abilities, good communication skills, including strong command of English;
--Strong expertise in experimental design.
