1. Purpose of Position

The Quality Engineering Manager will demonstrate key skills in communicating project requirements, inspection requirements. In this role, the Quality Engineering Manager will utilize experience or expertise of quality control, assurance & inspection to proactively identify & solve problems, develop and execute objectives for hydraulic power unit (HPU) project.

2. Job Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to BHGE Inspection test Plans (ITPs) and Hydraulic power unit (HPU) inspection at Supplier location

• Ensure compliance to Customer project specification and Manage Vendor deliverable document list

• Product release as per BHGE Bill of Material (BOM), Drawings and Assembly requirements

• Assist supplier in root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions

• Be point-of-contact for Australia Team

• Support supplier for Prepare QMPs and ITPs compliance and conduct Electrical and Mechanical inspections

• Review and approve manufacturing data books (MDB) contents

• Prepare and submit Quality reports as required

• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), attend Incoming inspection, In-process inspection

• Verify subassembly as per BHGE drawings

• Product Release after final inspection

• Raise Non-Conformance and technical queries in BHGE engineering system

• Daily Production defect & MDR progress reporting

• Quality Engineering Manager have to visit/monitor supplier factory on daily job and organize, perform regular communication with related parties and conduct necessary escalation

• Fully support customer visit and preparation in advance

• Patrol the supplier factory for potential continuous improvement & value-added opportunities in Quality, HSE and other risk management

3. Position Requirements

I. Qualifications

• Electrical engineer or with experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance with degree is preferred or Diploma with 5+ years of Industry experience

• Must Understand and Speak Good English

• Awareness of international electrical compliance requirements, especially Australian electrical standards like AS3000 would be highly preferred

II. Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Quality

• A detailed understanding of electrical drawings, assembly drawings and Bill of material

• Project management experience with international customer background would be highly preferred

III. Technical Knowledge/Skill set

• Electricals inspection

• Factory acceptance testing

• Pressure Testing’s
