About the Company:
Pacific Machinery is a fast growing company representing a number of product brands, principally involved in mechanical transmission products. To support our future business growth and ferrous castings expertise, we are currently in search of an experienced engineer, with expertise in the design and manufacture of ferrous castings.
About the Position:
This position is an excellent opportunity for a casting engineer looking to expand their knowledge and further his/her career. You will be the leading technical resource in the company for ferrous casting design and production. Initial responsibilities will be the hands-on design of patterns and cores for a variety of items, building our internal capabilities to support casting operations. From this point, you will be a key technical source in the development of foundry requirements- process and facility infrastructure, equipment and vendor selection, and providing inputs to initial business and on-going operational plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop pattern, core and mold designs for Pacific Machinery parts.
2. Perform moldflow analysis on mold designs to ensure low process scrap and rework rates, while minimizing post-casting operations in production and optimizing production costs.
3. Identify leading technologies and best practices in foundry operations; analyze potential equipment purchases, calculating life cycle costs, estimate production capacity, costs and capabilities, and make procurement recommendations on capital equipment.
4. Provide technical input to define raw material and process QA requirements. Define raw material specifications, as well incoming material, in-process, and final inspection/test criteria and procedures.
5. Develop in-process control plans to ensure both high quality and optimum production rates for molding and furnace/melt processes, and others as needed. Develop and maintain operator work instructions, equipment and process setpoints, process changes, and acceptable process operating tolerances.
6. Problem solve casting manufacturing and quality problems; identify root causes for process failures, eliminate product and process failure modes.
Candidate Requirements:
1. University degree in metallurgical, mechanical, materials, casting engineering or related field.
2. Familiarity with ASTM and international equivalent material properties (grey cast iron, nodular cast iron, ductile iron).
3. Experience in pattern, core and mold design for ferrous castings involving the above materials.
4. Experience with CAD (Solidworks preferred), along with industry leading moldflow analysis software.
5. Experience in ferrous casting processes in a production or production support role (manufacturing/process engineering or similar).
6. Manufacturing experience in CNC and other machining processes a plus.
7. Fluent in English and Mandarin.关于公司：

4、 提供技术投入，确定原料和工艺质量保证的要求。明确原材料和外加工材料的规格，、加工过程和最终检验/测试的标准和程序。
5、 完善过程控制计划，以确保铸模和熔化进程的高质量和优化生产率，及其他的需要。完善并保持操作工作说明、设备和工艺设定、工艺变更和可接受的生产公差。
6、 解决铸造生产问题和质量问题，明确工艺失败的根本原因，排除产品和工艺失败的模式。
要求：
1、 大学本科学历，冶金、机械、材料、铸造工程或相关领域专业。
2、 熟悉ASTM和国际等效材料的特性（灰铸铁、墨铸铁、延性铁）。
3、 具有对以上材料铸铁的模具、核心和模型设计的经验。
4、 具有使用CAD （Solidworks优先）和工业领先模具流程分析软件的经验。
5、 具有铸铁工艺生产或生产支持角色（生产或工艺工程或类似）的经验。
6、 具有数控和其他机械加工的优先。
