Key Responsibilities
? Perform qualification testing in product cost reduction program, strategic sourcing opportunities, product obsolescence replacements, and any other product design changes.
? Develops and interprets schematic diagrams, engineering sketches, and assembly drawings.
? Design, analyze, and troubleshoot general/complex circuits employing passive and active components under steady state and transient conditions. These types of products/circuits contain both power circuit and microcontrollers with embedded firmware for the purpose of control and communication.
? Perform root cause failure analysis, analyze complex malfunctioning electrical and electro-mechanical circuits or systems and satisfactorily design and test a solution for the malfunction.
? Conduct tests which includes both motor drive level test on dynamometers and sub-assembly which covers power circuits, control PCB and components.
? Utilize the following test instrumentation:
-Digital oscilloscopes
-Analog and digital volt meters and ammeters
-Differential amplifiers with voltage probes
-Current transformers and Hall Effect current probes with amplifiers
-LCR meters
-Tachometers
-Power supplies
-Personal computers
? Utilize and observe laboratory procedures for the safe and efficient use of electrical power and rotating electrical machinery.
? Participate in the Engineering Lab improvement activities.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
? Bachelor degree in electronics, electrical or electromechanical technology or equivalent.
? 1+ years of experience in dealing with complex electronic circuits and products. Experienced in circuit or product performance analysis. Good understanding on power conversion, power semiconductor device knowledge, applied electromagnetic knowledge, analog and digital circuit, electrical machinery, control, and test/development instrumentation.
? The preferred candidate will have experience in the field of power electronics products -motor drives, power supply etc. (Development engineering, qualification testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting).
? Good at English skills.
