Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Project Manager will be to lead, coordinate and manage various product design engineering projects through all phases of planning, engineering, testing, release and subsequent support. Project management responsibilities include scheduling, planning, work with functional management in budgeting and identifying/coordinating resources across multiple functional areas. The Project Manager is accountable for results of on-time project execution and responsible for providing updates on project progress.
Key Responsibilities
? Provide project management of product support projects with minimal direction, requiring planning, resourcing, scheduling, project cost forecasting/monitoring, reporting and providing technical coordination guidance across multiple functional areas.
? Defines project team's resource requirements which support the project's goals with respect to time, budget and quality through negotiation with resource managers.
? Responsible for financial, applied technology and schedule performance of assigned projects within cost limitations & established standards.
? Develops project investigation and implementation schedules. Manages project cost estimates.
? Identifies, manages and mitigates project risks, resulting in proactive contingency planning as required.
? Demonstrates the ability to gain support from external team members.
? Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
? BS Degree, or above, in Engineering
? A minimum of 5 years of experience in product engineering and project management or related experience.
? Good communication skills (both in Chinese and English), influence capabilities and an ability to work within a team environment to achieve goals.
? Proven ability to lead cross functional teams, partner with functional management to resolve conflicts and obtain resources for projects.
? Effectively communicates and gives presentations (internally and externally).
? Proven ability to direct resources, plan project activity, meet commitments and balance financial budgets.
Has successfully led product engineering projects and has a solid knowledge of detailed related processes, either within RA or related industry.
