Description

In this position, the engineer will be responsible for GTEC MPS support including test environment installation, configuration, maintenance, integration and trouble-shooting, further more, the engineer will be involved in MPS R&D for System Test or IODT to build-up MPS competence.


- Work with Ericsson’s mobile positioning system (MPS)


- Setup, integrate and verify end-to-end MPS network in the lab


- Participate in all system test activities including test plan, environment setup, design and execution of test cases, regression and system test


- Co-operate with colleagues in Europe to ensure a success E2E test with good quality



Qualifications

Technical Qualifications and Skills


- University Bachelor or Master Degree in any of the following majors: Computer Science, Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering with 2~4 years working experience in related fields.


- Experienced on Linux/Unix OS operation.


- Familiar with script is an advantage.


- Familiar with Database configuration especially the Oracle DB is an advantage.


- Experienced on software testing, including test process and test methodologies


- Very experienced on network protocols including IP, TCP, UDP. Experience with streaming protocols (RTSP, SIP) is an advantage.


- Experience on telecom network knowledge including GSM/WCMA, SS7, SIGTRAN, etc.





Soft Skills


- Interested in test environment setup and customer support


- Strong customer mind-set


- Good English communication skills (both in written and verbal), CET-4 certification is mandatory.


- Can work independently, easy to work with and strong team work spirit


- Ability to learn new technology quickly and apply to work tasks


- Innovative and solution thinking


- Open minded and willing to take challenges
