The Program Manager will build and oversee Asia operations of a global strategic account from within China. This individual will be part of a broader global program team, tasked with executing several high-visibility initiatives which will set precedent for other regions to follow. Successful candidates will possess an adept ability at building and maintaining both internal and external relationships, delivering and understanding services according to client’s needs and the Statement of Work, identifying opportunities for business growth as well as potential risks, and demonstrating clear value and return on client’s behalf.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design processes and service deliverables; establish and lead implementation of high visibility strategic projects on customer’s behalf.
• Establish operational standards for service, quality, cost control and risk management in coordination with client leadership and partners.
• Liaise and coordinate with customer’s suppliers and service providers to drive adherence to and adoption of customer’s freight security policies.
• Assess operational processes and provide recommendations for process improvements in accordance with best business practices to optimize programs and efficiencies.
• Champion use of Electronic Freight Security (EFS) technology and cargo security services in support of the business’ and customer’s strategies.
• Coordinate internal account activities multiple cross-functional organizations to ensure accurate and timely service delivery as well as superior client satisfaction.
• Problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
• Build operation processes and design customer solutions
• Ensure all Supply Chain Visibility Services activities provide value to the customer.
• Liaise with multiple client business units to ensure customer satisfaction and identify possible needs and/or opportunities for both the company and the client.
• Reporting and crisis management of client-related cargo theft threats and incidents and risk management contingencies.
• Maintain knowledge of regional legal requirements and customer’s security policies; understand how changes to client’s business operations may impact service delivery capabilities and articulate any resulting increases in risk of cargo theft
• Ensure robust response and escalation procedures are in place, and enact contingency plans as needed

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Business-level fluency in written and spoken English
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Military Science, Criminal Justice or equivalent related field.
• Three years or more of related professional corporate experience
• Knowledge of global supply chain and logistics networks, including industry standards, trends, and regulations relevant to Chinese manufacturing and shipping models
• Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong quantitative analysis, problem solving and reasoning ability

• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and ongoing strategic initiatives
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals in a diverse environment

• Security-focused, supply chain management and logistics experience
• Ability to travel as needed, up to 40%
• Valid Passport
