• Supervises mechanical erection, including the coordination of services of other vendors, to ensure proper and timely Erection of Valmet supplied equipment adhering to budgets, schedule and logistics plans.
• Supervises Machinery and equipment (lifting, transportation, etc…) usage by optimizing needs.
• Coordinates material flows to the site and optimizes the on-site stored material reserves by minimizing the needs for internal transportation, but assures on time availability of materials.
• Documents all field work, including check sheets, measurement records, field reports, time logs and a chronological listing of events.
• Monitors and assists in the correction of any unsafe conditions existing with Valmet supplied equipment or with its interface with adjoining equipment.
• Familiar with equipment like boilers' specifications, standards, limits of Valmet supply and responsibility, engineering documentation (manuals, drawings and vendor equipment), special Erection requirements and customer interface specifications before Erection.
• Attends briefing to assist the customers in preparing for the Erection.
• Provides feedback to Engineering, including comments on good designs as well as design deficiencies, and recommended improvements.
• Travels independently for extended periods of time with little or no advance notice.
• Carries out special projects and assignments on request of the Erection Management.
