Job Description:
This position will be responsible for conducting the developability assessment on discovery compounds and participate in a cross-functional team to select molecules that can be successfully developed. Using conventional and high throughput technologies to provide preformulation data, with an emphasis on salt and polymorph screening, analytical method development and formulation development, while utilizing very small amounts of drug substance. Must be capable of executing and willing to learn new things, with minimal supervision and self-initiatives. Assist in building "state of the art laboratories" that will house high throughput technologies to maximize efficiency and quality of the data. Support drug substance and drug product development efforts for first in human and "Proof of Concept" studies in China. Write developability reports for compounds.
Minimum requirements:
A Ph.D. degree or equivalent with a minimum of 2+ years experience in preclinical drug development including analytical methods and/or formulation development in the pharmaceutical industry . Strong skills in physico-chemical characterization, and salt selection/polymorph screening process. Good problem solving skills with ability to interpret, evaluate and draw conclusions from data. Effective oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese are necessary.
