Official Title: GCR ESHQ Manager 大中华区环境安全健康质量经理
Location: Shanghai Xinzhuang (shuttle bus provided)
Purpose of the position:
Coordinate ESH compliance issues& quality management in GCR, including quality assurance, quality management system, customer service, etc;
Provide professional supports for ESH compliance issues& quality management issues in GCR, including advice for new projects in GCR;
Responsible for the development ESH compliance issues & quality management improvement programs based on related legal and company requirements, and control its realization;
Coordinate and conduct ESH compliance issues &quality management training for sites in GCR;
Assist ESHQ in GCR on ESHQ management in the region.
Responsibility:
Develop a comprehensive ESH compliance system/program and quality management improvement program on region level to promote “100% in compliance” of ESH culture and ensure ESH compliance and quality management improvement program in region;
Coordinate and control ESH compliance program and quality management improvement program in GCR with the target “100% in compliance” --- to fulfill legal and Evonik requirements;
Participate in ESHQ related audits and take lead role in audit, and follow up findings, especially regarding ESH compliance and quality assurance, to ensure proper closure;
Provide and/or coordinate training and consultation on ESH compliance and quality management to sites in GCR;
Participate in ESH review for new and/or revamping projects in GCR to ensure ESH compliance and quality management, including providing service to the projects;
Contact Evonik Corporate/BUs closely regarding ESH compliance and quality management, and share best practices cross BUs and Sites;
Provide ESH compliance management and quality management reports of the region;
Keep up-to-date on ESH compliance and quality management related regulations;
Participate in or lead region ESHQ initiatives such as ESH management system improvement, Responsible Care program, etc. for ESH compliance and quality management;
Develop and implement value-added services and guidance to the sites;
Support other ESH service and activities as needed.
Requirements:
Experienced in ESH compliance and management of quality assurance, a plus with some lawyer and customer service related working experiences;
Good knowledge in ESH related laws and quality management system (ISO 9001), legal requirements and regulations, especially in Chinese national level;
Good practical experience in industry, preferred with ESH management;
Good cooperation experiences, preferred in region level;
Familiar with ESHQ management system and Responsible Care system.
Organize and coordinate internal and external resources to achieve region ESH compliance goals and objectives;
Maintain an efficient communication with BU (ESH and legal), Sites and other service/function head, if necessary, with local authorities;
Train and develop ESH compliance and quality management improvement knowledge for the site employee in GCR.
Is accountable for providing the proper direction to ensure ESH compliance and quality management improvement is a prime concern with the first priority;
Coach sites in such manner as to ensure compliance with legal and company requirement on ESHQ field;
Make decision based on facts and solid data in the respective area.
Assist supervisor to plan and manage the annual operational budget for responsible areas;
Assist sites in GCR to plan budget and to realize improvements for ESH compliance and quality management improvement;
Support business growth with ESHQ compliance and quality management improvement related initiatives.
Influence internal and external parties on quality management and ESH compliance and ESHQ in general;
Guide frequently the site operations to implement within the framework of ESH compliance and quality management improvement strategy;
Ability to persuade miscellaneous parties to achieve the objectives;
Frequently sell professional recommendation and have to convince others. (management, site, BU level, etc.)
Resolve problems in GCR on ESH compliance field, quality management (quality assurance, customer service, etc.) field;
Capability to make judgment on critical issues;
Cooperation orientated thinking in ESH compliance program and quality management improvement.
Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Safety, Environment Engineering, a plus with master or above degree, or additional law degree. In special case, a bachelor degree in law acceptable;
Minimum 10 years of working experience, specially related to quality management and ESH Management, a plus in an international company;
Sound communication and leadership skill;
With priority setting and multi-tasking capabilities;
Sound English skill being able to communicate in English both in speaking and writing, a plus with basic German;
Willing and motivated for frequent traveling and working in GCR for weeks.
Mini Education level: Bachelor
Major preferred: Environment Engineering,
Language skills:English Good
