Official Title: Job Safety and Training Manager-Great China Region 大中华区安全和培训经理

Location: Shanghai Xinzhuang (shuttle bus provided)

Purpose of the position:

Coordinate management of job and work safety, and ESH Training in GCR;

Provide professional supports for job and ESH training in GCR;

Responsible for the development ESH training management programs in compliance with related legal and company requirements, and control its realization;

Coordinate and conduct ESH training for sites in GCR;

Coordinate and manage accident / incident statistic and report in GCR.

Responsibility:

Develop a comprehensive job safety and ESH training program promote “minimize risk, injury/illness free” safety culture in region under guidance of superior, and take lead and control for the implementation of this program;

Coordinate management of job safety, work safety and ESH training in GCR， especially ensure ESH training in GCR to fulfill legal and Evonik requirements;

Coordinate implementation of corporate policies and standards related to job safety and ESH training in GCR;

Lead and/or maintain accident/incident reporting, investigations and analyses in GCR;

Consult and participate in significant incident investigation to assure compliance with Corporate and Region requirements;

Participate the region ESH Compliance audits and follow up findings/report to management;

Provide reports of regional job safety and ESH training activities and progress;

Coordinate and manage accident / incident statistic and report in GCR timely, according to Evonik guideline;

Keep up-to-date on ESH training related regulations;

Involve the region ESHQ system and Responsible Care program and provide professional support;

Closely work with Sites to ensure that the site remains in compliance with all existing and developing ESHQ issues;

Develop and implement value-added services and guidance to the site;

Support other ESH service and activities as needed.

Requirements:

Experienced in job safety management, safety risk assessment, and ISO and or RC management system;

Experienced in ESH training management, from organization to conduction;

Good practical experience, preferred in production, maintenance, project, and specified in work safety;

Basic experience for team management, good experience for contractor management;

Good experience with JSA;

Professional certification preferred (Certified Safety Professional, or country equivalent)

Organize and coordinate internal and external resources to achieve region ESHQ goals and objectives;

Maintain an efficient communication with BU (ESH and legal), Sites and other service/function head, also outside organizations;

Develop ESH training management for the site ESH managers.

Is accountable for providing the proper direction to ensure ESHQ is a prime concern;

Coach sites in such manner as to ensure compliance with legal and company requirement on safety field;

Conduct technical research on job safety and ESH training related information or data and communicate to management, with specific role of decision initiator on safety ESH training management.

Assist supervisor to plan and manage the annual operational budget for the site ESHQ related matters in terms of service;

Support business growth with ESHQ related initiatives.

Influence internal and external parties on ESHQ;

Guide frequently the site operations to implement within the framework of ESHQ and ESH Training strategy;

Ability to persuade miscellaneous parties to achieve the objectives;

Frequently sell professional recommendation and have to convince others. (management, site, BU level, etc.)

Resolve problems in GCR on job safety field;

Capability to make judgment on critical issues;

Cooperation orientated thinking in ESH training program.

Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Safety, Environment Engineering, a plus with master or above degree.

Minimum 8 years of working experience, specially related to work safety and ESH training, a plus in an international company;

Sound communication and leadership skill;

With priority setting and multi-tasking capabilities;

Knowledge and experience in project management;

Sound English skill being able to communicate in English both in speaking and writing, a plus with basic German;

Willing and motivated for frequent traveling and working in GCR for weeks.

Mini Education level: Bachelor
Major preferred: Chemical, Mechanical, Safety, Environment Engineering, a plus with master or above degree.

Minimum working years: 8 years

Language skills: English Fluent
