Job Description:

China Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research Co. Ltd (CNIBR) is currently seeking to fill a research associate/scientist position in the medium-throughput screening lab. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team applying state-of-the-art screening/automation techniques to support our drug discovery and development efforts. The main responsibility for this position is to operate the high throughput robotic systems in support of the compound screening and hit-finding activities. Other responsibilities may include: maintaining and calibrating the offline/online instruments, writing protocols for the liquid handling workstations, and data analysis of the screening dataset. The successful candidate should be highly self-motivated and enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment.

Minimum requirements:

Qualified candidate should have a BS or MS degree in the fields of life science or engineering and at least 2-years of working experience in lead-discovery at a pharmaceutical/Biotech Company or an academic screening center. Hands on experiences with the commonly-used HTS equipments (such as plate readers, dispensers, and liquid handlers), and automation are required. Knowledge of the various HTS assay formats is a plus. The candidate is expected to work closely with other project teams, so good communication skill is critical.
