PROCESS SCIENTIST

The successful candidate will develop and scale up processes and technologies for extraction and purification of unique flavor and perfume ingredients from natural materials.

Job Responsibility
Incumbent will:

? Initiate and lead research projects to develop processes and technologies for extraction and enrichment of compounds with flavour and perfume properties, in close collaboration with internal business partners.
? Scale up processes and assist in transfer to production.
? Assess the value of new purification technologies as potential contributors to our business.
? Serve as a global technical resource for separation processes and natural products process development.
? Build and maintain relationships with internal and external research partners in the field of separations.

Profile
Required:

? Ph.D. in chemical engineering or related field.
? Thorough understanding of chemical process unit operations and chemical engineering fundamentals.
? Strong process development skills.
? Hands-on experience in the field of separation processes.
? Analytical thinking and critical problem solving capability.
? Resourceful, creative, energetic, highly motivated, idea generator, able to work independently.
? Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to safe work practices.
? Fluency in English.

Preferred:

? Industrial experience (up to five years) in natural products processing (experience in citrus processing is a plus).
? Fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
