DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

As part of our on-going expansion, MADJOR is looking for a technologist to help envision, build and ship products and experiences for industry-leading local and global businesses.

Client Engagement:

• Support the pitch process by proposing to prospects technology solutions that challenge established thinking and solve brand challenges in innovative ways
• Assist to initiate and create strategic solutions, identifying the right technical implications and work plan, for projects such as CRM, Platform development, Big data, Store digitization, etc.

Project Excellence:

• Able to play a significant role on the creation of the corresponding scope of work with all details for features and steps; as well as technical documentation, specifications, conducting training sessions for clients or other relevant stakeholders; to ensure the technical solutions delivered can be well managed and accounted for in the future
• Work with digital strategy consultants to identify the right technology solutions to turn strategic recommendations into reality
• Be able to initiate and create technical solutions around consumers’ insights and strategic brand objectives
• Be comfortable discussing and explaining your solutions, processes and methods with non-technical staff (“How can we do this?”, “Is this possible?”)
• Cooperate with other specialists in MADJOR team, partners and client-side technical teams to ensure project execution according to timelines, budgets and specifications
• Assist to brief, vet, select and manage vendors (or the relevant teams) to carry out the execution of technical development projects
• Ensure that we produce excellent deliverables that offer the best user experience

Thought Leadership:

• Keep yourself heavily interested in emerging technologies and trends and be the go-to person for technology insights in Labbrand
• Assist to contribute to Labbrand’s intellectual leadership efforts through articles, media outreach, conference participation etc… to present Labbrand’s philosophy as it relates to technology

REQUESTED COMPETENCIES

General:

• Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
• Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Curious and like to experiment and tinker with different technologies. You are always trying to learn more to stay ahead

Technologist Specific:

• Have both technical knowledge and an understanding of brand and business strategy
• A strong understanding of digital production scope, process, schedules and technology and are great at coordinating internal and external resources
• Capable of explaining complex technical concepts in simple terms and to tell a real story around the technology solutions you propose

Education and Work Experience:

• Have a background that blends Business and consulting with engineering or computer sciences
• 1 - 2 year experience in a relevant related client or agency side position.
