Job Description:

Provide medicinal chemistry support for drug discovery programs operated by Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research in Shanghai, China. Perform organic synthesis experiments and purification procedures, using standard organic chemistry laboratory techniques or new methods from the literature to obtain pure characterized compounds for biological evaluation. State of the art software tools and high throughput synthesis robotics are utilized where appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

Multiple positions exist at all levels for candidates with the following minimum qualifications. B.S. or M.S. degree in Chemistry with at least 2 year experience in the synthesis and characterization of organic compounds. PhD candidate is also considered. Experience with common spectroscopy (NMR, IR, UV, MS) and analytical techniques required. Experience with chromatography purification systems required.
