Job Objectives
· Responsible for directing, managing and implementing all maintenance, repair activities for all the production facilities (e.g. Aux. MCD, Acronal, Aux and KT plants), utilities, Waste water treatment , building for GC headquarters, R&D center, Technical service center and Campus (e.g. construction, piping system, HVAC, lab equipment & instruments) in BASF Pudong site by timely planning, initiating, and supervision of inspections and maintenance measures, trouble-shooting, defining a spare parts concept, and responsible for the maintenance cost control by monitoring and analyzing.
· Assure the compliance with PRC and BACC safety, health and environment regulations, codes and standards. Develops and maintains BACC standards and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
Maintenance
?Develop, implement and supervise the regular maintenance and inspection plans, procedures and activities on regular/ special equipment and machinery, pressure containers, buildings and lubrication administration to upkeep the performance of the machinery/equipment and smooth running conditions of GC headquarter, R&D, Technical service and Campus buildings.
?Monitor the services provided by external service providers, including those covered by machinery/ equipment suppliers.

Maintenance planning for development
?According to technological advancement and development in the plant maintenance field, notify and instruct subordinates of any changes of production that could impact maintenance services and direct trouble-shoot of solve serious problems to ensure the reliability of using the machine and equipment.
?Optimize and manage all resources of own employees, contractor personnel and materials as well.
?Define and implement the spare parts concept.

Cost control
?According to company depreciation policies and machine/equipment performance condition, propose recommendation on maintenance and spare parts purchasing and preparing yearly budget and make this be part of the plant cost center annual budgets.
?Cost monitoring and propose measures for efficiency improvement.
?Maintenance inventory management and maintenance warehouse work flow optimization.
?Ensure a transparent cost allocation to respective plant.

Dealing with suppliers and service contractors
?Provide technical suggestion/feedback on machines and its spare parts to purchasing department.
?Monitor and evaluate suppliers' and contractors' repairing work to ensure their service provide smooth operations in quality at reasonable costs.
?May need to negotiate best contract terms.
?Coordinate with of machinery external repair service providers to ensure that machinery failures can be corrected timely without production interruption. Handle serious machinery problems if necessary.
?Monitor the services provided by external service providers, including machinery/equipment suppliers.

Projects
?Support the projects planning, execution at BASF Pudong site in the discipline of mechanics, piping, civil.

Documentation
?In line with the equipment instruction of supplier and the actual situation in plant, initially develop and keep updating the plant maintenance manual to guide the maintenance activities, ensure the efficient and effective maintenance and repairing services to meet production and R&D requirement.
?Set-up filing system for all maintenance/repairing records so as to produce monthly reports on analyzing and identifying the maintenance/repairing problems, including recommendation to improve the machinery/equipment performance and services standards.
?Further improve the existing maintenance/projects documentation system e.g. project documents hand-over, complete the missing documents from the earlier projects.

Organization/Personnel Development
?Assume the management and supervisory responsibilities over his subordinates by coaching, setting targets, development plan and performance assessment.
?Promote subordinates for higher qualified work.
?Improvement maintenance organization as per company needs.

Incident investigation
?Commit to incident investigation and to find out the improvable measures for any incident within own responsible area. Support also the incident investigation in any area on the site by using maintenance expertise.

Quality
?Ensure all the team members understand and act upon the requirement of company QA policies, procedures and objectives, especially the relevant quality control systems, e.g. ISO, TS in service delivery, monitoring machinery/equipment performance, in order to meet the QA objectives and enhance productivity.

Safety, health and environment aspect related issues and housekeeping
?According to corporate, company and statutory ESH requirements, implement the relevant safety and environment protection policies and procedures by seeking consultation from ESH manager, including enforcing the observation of all company's operations, safety, ecology and housekeeping guidelines to ensure the working environment supports site safety and production quality.

Requirements:
· Education: Bachelor or above in mechanical and engineering
· Working Experience: more than 10 years relevant experience
· Technical & Professional Knowledge: BASF S.H.E. knowledge & Chinese S.H.E. regulations; Good English and PC skills, Ability of Management, Organization and Leadership; Recognize the development in the markets
