JOB OBJECTIVES:
The position requires a fully qualified professional at the journey level, who is expected to recognize and

recommend potential ideas within his/her area of expertise.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Performs proactively complex, non conventional research assignments, requiring the application of non-standard chemistry techniques.
2.Makes plans, designs and implements assigned raw material projects and fundamental research with a loosely defined idea or problem.
3.Needed to consistently draw non-obvious conclusions and make recommendations for new or modified

research projects. Provides technical leadership and directs raw material team members of A-P R&D Lab.
4.Show enough people skills to coordinate raw material suppliers in Asian Pacific for the development of new raw

materials for TWC/MC/Diesel applications.
5.May team up with sales and meet assigned OEMs to set up strategy for platform performance advancement and cost

reduction.


REQUIREMENTS:
1.Ph. D in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering within 4 years experiences
2.Excellent innovative thinking and research ability
3.Good English speaking and writing skills, can make presentation in English
4.Excellent mandarin skills
5.Need to show core competencies of BASF Asia Pacific like Striving for Achievement,Communication and Interpersonal Understanding and Customer Focus
6.Team work ability
7.Comply with TS 16949 is also a must
