JOB OBJECTIVES:

• Lead coordinator role with high interactions with suppliers and internal technical, procurement and business colleagues
• Based in Shanghai looking after procurement activities for investment projects in Asia Pacific region

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Leads procurement coordination for capital investment projects to meet cost, schedule and business objectives.
2. High collaboration with business, functional and technical leaders in manufacturing, engineering, maintenance in order to meet the technical and business objectives of the projects.
3. Provides performance assessment and feedback of key suppliers executing capital projects and maintenance turnaround work to ensure continuous improvement.
4. Oversees procurement activities of the third party partner and ensures compliance of procurement guidelines, policies, procedures and processes.
5. Implements regional and global procurement strategies in the investment projects.
6. Identifies areas to improve cost and schedule, mitigates risk, manages claims avoidance, negotiates contracts and purchase orders and resolves issues.
7. On request, supports and advises the Project Steering Team, Project Managers, Construction Managers, Contracting Companies and relevant functions on commercial issues such as cost evaluations, tender procedures, schedule impact on cost, quality issues with equipment suppliers, and contractor performance regarding productivity, health, safety, and environmental matters.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. 5 -10 years experience in capital investment project procurement in the oil, gas, petrochemical or pharmaceutical industries.
2. Candidates with multi-regional experience will be strongly considered. International experience is desirable.
3. Strong negotiating experience.
4. University degree in Engineering, Construction, Business or Chemistry. MBA is desirable.
