1.  KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

 

Qualifications:          

Bachelor degree majored in Engineering or equivalent.

Can read and understand engineering drawing and spec. very well

High level of oral and written communication skills (Mandarin and English).

Strong inter-personal communication skills

Demonstrated knowledge of Petro Chemical Commodity such as

plastic, rubber, gasket parts and etc.    

                                   

Experience:        

Minimum 5 years working experience in purchasing field and at

least 3 years’ experience as petrochemicals sourcing engineering in

in manufacturing or Automotive industry

High level in coordination and negotiation skills

Working knowledge of SAP is preferred.

 

2.  BASIC FUNCTIONS

 

This function is an important part of Modine Purchasing activities in China and global. This function will be responsible for the procurement of requested petrochemical parts for supplying to Modine plants in China as well as carrying out in country team function to support BCC initiative of Modine Global Purchasing

 

3.  RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Work with other functions (e.g. SQ/Engr) on identifying and selecting qualified suppliers for both local purchases and export.

·       Develop a high degree of understanding for the technology and support engineering on their interfaces with the supply base

·       Follow global sourcing process and commodity strategy to make sourcing decision in daily work.

·       Negotiates contracts, prices and terms with suppliers best in price, quality, and service based upon cost analysis, market research and supplier assessment

·       Support global petrochemicals commodity leader to develop global petrochemicals commodity strategy together with other regional petrochemicals commodity buyers

·       Working on cost reduction activities in line with global and regional material cost reduction targets

·       Develops and maintains reliable suppliers, including new supplier sources

·       Complete other procurement work assigned by management

·       Frequent Travel/supplier visits as necessary and execute special assignments
