Work Location: Shanghai - Gaoqiao
Reporting to: Lab Supervisor

Job Objectives:
To support technology solutions/ technical development with analysis/ testing of data.

Main Responsibilities:
1.Daily operations: Strictly following test methods: a)Carry out lab analysis experimentation and testing to support and contribute to R&D project, assignment, and technical service according to SBU requirements; b) Record and report results as required to lab supervisor or update results in database timely; c) Support supervisor to monitor experiments meeting required quality, schedules, customization requirements via updating the database in time; d) Contribute to new test method set up and implement new test methods.

2.Equipment and facilities: a) Support the equipment procurement & order maintenance/repair services of facilities/equipment to ensure the smooth function of the equipments to support lab services; b) Cooperate with maintenance engineer to ensure that efficient quality and cost effective repair and maintenance services are implemented to support equipment/facilities in the lab; c) Operate the assigned equipment strictly following instruction/manual, d) Execute equipment maintenance plan, responsible for equipments calibration and verification.

3.Market/industry competitiveness: a) Works according to ISO requirements, including necessary documentation; b) Support the application of official quality certifications e.g. ISO standards, customers' audits in own area

4.Support raw material management: a) Monitor raw material inventory according to materials/samples consumption to support supervisor to ensure minimum inventory needs to achieve cost efficiency without interruption of services due to lack of material; b) support to order raw material and ensure the quality and quantity meet requirements
5.EHS & Housekeeping: Maintain work place in good condition and meet BASF EHS requirements; apply updated MSDS of raw materials/chemicals, including label system (printed label) for chemicals and samples in lab, disposal of expired chemicals and lab samples.

Requirements:
1.College degree in chemistry and realted majors

2. At least 1 year experience in analytical lab enviroment or equivalent lab

3. Able to operate and maintain equipment

4. Understand basic English and operate Microsoft Office
