Primary job Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain software applications.
• Design and develop technical solutions to support company’s technical initiatives.
• Work with stakeholders in project planning, technical evaluation and product delivery.
• Assist in proposal of technical directions and initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise in certain technical domains, e.g. security, system performance tuning, web services and API development, software reliability and scalability solutions, quality assurance, etc.
• Participate in project meetings and attend regular scrum team meetings.
• Technical documentation
• Provide detailed project status reporting.

Qualifications, experience, and Skills:

• BS/BA or above in CS or related field. A master or PhD degree is advantageous.
• 6~8 year experience in full SDLC including requirements analysis, software design, coding and unit testing.
• 3+ years in leading medium to-large JavaEE / J2EE project development
• Expertise in J2EE and Java EE application development.
• Proficiency with other mainstream programming languages, such as Python, R, Scala, are adventurous.
• Hands on experience in Restful API development.
• Experience with RMDB and SQL, preferably Oracle.
• Experience working with NoSQL and big data solutions is a plus.
• Good understanding of architecture patterns, such as MVC, SOA, Responsive Web Application, etc.
• Comfortable with Agile/Scrum
• Fluent English abilities in both speaking and writing

Desirable experience and Skills

• Commercial experience with implementation of security protocols and access control mechanisms is a big plus.
• Demonstrable experience in participation in Open Source projects is an advantage.
• Good understanding of current technical trend, e.g. Could computing, Big data, Mobile first approach, etc.
