Responsibilities:

• Act as the systems engineer for Methode’s Global Windows environment systems
• Complete all design and solutions review for Windows based infrastructure projects and sign-off on solutions based on best practices, scalability and client expectations
• Perform implementations, integrations, and migrations
• Maintain an on premise Exchange environment and assist with migration to cloud
• Manage cloud and on premise infrastructures spanning across the globe
• Maintain multiple Hyper-V environments
• Maintain AD environments spreading across multiple forests
• Manage/monitor backups of all systems
• Maintain MS SQL and open source SQL platforms
• Responsible for the successful delivery of all infrastructure projects within budget
• Provide knowledge, mentoring, and guidance to the team including internal/external training and knowledge transfer
• High-level escalation contact as a member of response team addressing issues unresolved through the highest level of support services
• Maintain current hardware equipment and software renewal contracts and supervise contract-based installations; where necessary, liaise with third-party support and carrier/vendors
• Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plans and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans
• Work with IT counterparts across divisions in providing support, planning, exchange of ideas and improvements
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science OR equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting relevant technology environments
• Microsoft MCSE or MCSA certification required
• Scripting language knowledge (bash, powershell, etc.) required
• Working knowledge of SQL (MS SQL) and XML required
• Windows Clustering knowledge including application clustering (e.g. SQL, IIS, Exchange etc.)
• Experience in Citrix Environments required
• Experience in Dell VRTX and Nutanix systems required
• Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards, including TCP/IP and Windows
• Experience with solution deployment, post implementation support and system integration including ability to install new applications and handle machine rollouts
• Keen attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language to all levels of organization
• Self-motivated with ability to quickly learn new products
• Project management experience in team-oriented/collaborative environment
• Cisco, Talari, Palo Alto Certs/Training a strong plus
• Network Security Cert (Security+ or CISSP) a plus
• SharePoint knowledge a plus
• On-call availability must
• 10% travel both domestic and international
