POSITION PROFILE

POSITION: Project Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

· Provide support in program management for product design, development and customer support.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform and coordinate activities associated with product development and launch requirements.

· Technical responsibility for planning, interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating activities in the area of product design and development.

· Serve as a key technical and program related liaison between the Chinese OEM,and Headquarters.

· Understands in detail and supports those systems defined, AIAG, and QS 9000 in managing projects and programs.

· Supports and maintains those areas known as engineering and manufacturing standards.

· Understands and coordinates in detail those activities in support of quotation processes.

· Assist sales team in obtaining new IEC and OEC mirror business and associated expansion of features take rates.

· Manage and coordinate activities associated with current production engineering changes and improvements and any associated customer approvals and involvement.

· Lead construction, scheduling and shipment of customer mirror prototypes and samples.

· Key interface with customer engineering and manufacturing teams .

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Coordination of sample installations at customers.

· Participation at customer meetings.

· Help in actively reducing costs to manufacturer and procure parts for mirrors, thus increasing margins.

· Preparation and support of product expos and marketing activities.

POSITION DEMANDS:

· A four-year related engineering degree is preferred.

· Bi-lingual. Mandarin and good to excellent verbal and written English

· Minimum of two years experience in automotive or related engineering experience

· Must be capable of applying engineering principles.

· Familiarity with manufacturing processes and feasibility, as well as a good understanding of automotive design requirements and practices preferred.

· Good communication skills are required.

· Organizational skills a requirement

· PC skills required; Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project.

· This position reports to Engineering Manager.

· Interacts with production, quality, design, tooling, engineering and customers.

· Interacts with suppliers.

· Responsible for direct coordination support of projects related to customer programs.
