Overall Purpose of Job
? Responsible for APQP new product launch quality assurance activities, launch readiness Audits, open issue highlights, and effective solutions & closures. This position is responsible for making sure new launches meet customer specific requirements and expectations, being a customer representative at new product launch process, working closely and supporting new product PFMEA/ Control Plan workshop activities, PPAP document reviews, customer communication, working with Program Management on gate review and effective LRR, follow up... audit on new product GDPIM system compliance.....etc


Major Responsibilities
? Primary responsibility is to ensure the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) steps within the Automotive Global Development Product Introduction Method (GDPIM) are carried out in a manner which will ensure new product launch quality on core and application development programs. The product development quality engineer is to be the product development team's problem solving, metrology and special characteristics resource. A broad knowledge of quality assurance with specific expertise in product, process and or quality engineering is required.
? Support the core development and program/project application management teams in executing the GDPIM requirements and delivering a design which is optimized to the customer's requirements.
? Has responsibility for verifying customer critical and significant characteristics matrix will be fulfilled and meet customer specification requirements;
? Assist program management in providing product application engineers with lessons learned from current production and or customer issues
? Reviews on PV (Product Validation) for quality, act as Quality gate during APQP GDPIM process
? Work closely with plant quality and make sure the completion of Control Plan, and visual factory floor quality system design and implementation
? Review and approve customer PPAP, and communicate with customer for PPAP approve;
? Support, assist and help AME/ Engineering to conduct PFMEA Workshop to pursue robust PFMEA and Control Plan
? Conduct, coordinate, help, and support new product launch Audit, such as Line Walk Audit, 11 color system Audit, LRR (Launch Readiness Report), ERR (Engineering Readiness Report),
? Lead and be responsible for new product APQP quality gate reviews- highlight and close all open items from the customer representative point of the view.
? Act as the liaison to external customer Supplier Development Engineering team on new product applications, build and enhance customer relationship,
? Maintain APQP status report to Quality management

Key Competencies
? New product launch APQP quality experience,
? Program / Project management knowledge and ability, experience are preferred;
? TS16949 automotive industry Quality system knowledge and experience
? Problem solving skills, such as 8D, 5WHY, six sigma, Shainin, ...preferred
? Product, process, quality engineering background
? Excellent teamwork, cross functional working experience and communication skill
? Good working attitude and ability to work at pressure
? Positive thinking / working style
? Demonstrated strong management & leadership skill & abilities
? Team Player
? Results driven
? Cross-functional working experience;
? Strong pushing and drive capability;
? Self-starter with the ability to work in a global/regional/cross functional team environment.

Education & Work Experience
Education: Bachelor or Master degree in process/ product engineering, industry automatic control ... engineering background

Language: Good English and communication skill

Experience:
? Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing/engineering /quality function in automotive industry
? Two years department management level working experience
? Product, process or quality engineering experience & expertise required
? Statistical methods on D/PFMEA, GR&R, SPC, DOE,...with six-sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, Master Black Belt,... desired
? Basic product reliability, testing and product validation experience
