Job tasks:

 

l  Familiarize with the market attributes and understand client’s preference;

l  Track on monthly booking & shipment status of the division to justify the head count balancing and keep business growing;

l     Source new potential vendors on ladies’ woven & knit apparel and identify other product opportunities for clients so as to drive more business;

l  Supervise and guide a team of merchandisers to meet client’s need and expectation;

l      Educate and update vendors on company policies like Social Compliance, Country of origin Conferring and buyer’s individual requirement so as to ensure legitimate working procedures while satisfying customers needs;

l      Set goals and organize subordinates to accomplish them on time;

l     Develop subordinates to reach a higher potential and recognize their ability and strength;

l      Negotiate with vendors on price, quota & delivery issues to get the best interest for clients;

l     Settle disputes between clients and vendors on claims while keeping their good business relationship;

l  Identify current problem, foresee pitfalls and advise resolution to subordinates to maintain smooth workflow;

l  Present problematic issues to client;

l   Coordinate with other supporting departments like Technical, QA, Shipping, Accounts, MIS & Administrative to ensure smooth workflow.

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

l      Tertiary educated in textile or clothing or related disciplines;

l      8 years experience in apparel industry;

l      At least 3 years experience in supervisory level;

l      Strong product knowledge in ladies’ woven & knitted fashion apparel;

l  Knowledge in USA and/or market is preferred;

l  Fluency in spoken & written English is prerequisite; Mandarin is advantage;

l  Good communication, leadership, negotiation and problem solving skills;

l  Additional qualities of interpersonal skills, commitment and result driven is definitely a plus;

l  Willing to travel to PRC frequently.
