Responsibilities:

1. Definition of project deliverables
2. Planning and tracking of work packages and tasks in accordance with the safety plan and project plan
3. Tailoring of safety lifecycle
4. Project Risk Management
5. Participation in project design reviews
6. Identify needs for tools and trainings
7. Provide FS - Management trainings to development teams
8. Initiate and perform Kick Off Meetings at project start
9. Management and analysis of safety requirements
10. Identify gaps and ensure traceability of safety requirements
11. Development of safety concepts in accordance with ISO 26262
12. Development of customer relevant work products defined in ISO 26262
13. Definition of requirements for safety verification and validation
14. Support development teams in performing safety analysis and analyzing the results with respect to the technical safety concept
15. Responsible for planning and execution of all confirmation reviews
16. Establish and maintain all functional safety relevant project internal and external interfaces (e.g. customer, supplier, development team)
17. Support the Audit and Assessment activities
18. Development of all relevant documents required for the product release for production
19. Drive post mortem meeting at the end of the project

Qualifications:

1. Degree in electronics engineering, software engineering or comparable
2. 3+ years of experience in functional safety for automotive
4. Expert knowledge of ISO 26262 and IEC 61508
5. Proven track record on development and implementation of safety concepts
6. Proven track record on safety analysis methods (FTA, FMEA, FMEDA)
7. ECU Systems engineering background
8. Strong mentoring and team building skills
9. Strong presentation and communication skills
10. Preferably proven track record on technical leadership
11. Basic knowledge of Polarion and other safety analysis tool is an advantage
12. Written and fluent spoken English is mandatory
13. Travel required (depending on project need)
