Exciting opportunities awaits you at Micron’s fast growing Shanghai Memory System Development (MSD) team. As a MFTL Firmware Development Engineer in Micron’s MSD group, you will work with an exceptionally talented core team based in Shanghai, to develop cutting-edge NANDFLASH management software package for product with NAND-based storage in the Embedded Business Segments(TV, TV Box, etc.). In this position, you will be part of the team that designs, and implements firmware solutions for these target markets. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with fellow US based system design engineers, Flash memory design engineers, local AE/FAE to solve cross-functional design issues.

Responsibilities:

• Bring up new NANDFLASH on Hisilicon/Sanechips/Amlogic, etc TV chipsets and provide the SDK to customers to enable Micron’s NANDFLSH on the new chipset platforms
• Understand how customer qualifies Micron’s NANDFLASH in the TV/TV Box, etc, debug/interpret software logs provided by Chipset Vendors and customers to help in debugging issues; Design and implement the test scripts accordingly to reproduce the customers’ failures to speed up the troubleshooting
• Provide FW solutions (if feasible) besides the test scheme to verify the solution, thinking of ways to detect potential issues through effective testing in the customer side or Micron’s lab
• Review, track, document, and summarize test results, generating reports and documentation
  
  

Requirements:

• B.S. or above in CS/CE/EE
• Extensive C programming experience and knowledge is mandatory in embedded system development, Hands-on experience on troubleshooting hardware and software issues on embedded systems is also must to have
• Experience and knowledge on software development and troubleshooting under Android environment, on Programming with Python or on Linux Shell programming is a big plus
• Experience working on hardware and software development of TV, TV Box, etc. products is a big plus
• Experience and knowledge on mass storage systems, Flash memory (NAND / NOR), device drivers, or File Systems is a big plus
• Experience on performing Oscilloscope, Logic analyzer, and Protocol analyzer to capture bus timings and signal quality for debugging is a big plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skill in both English and Chinese
• Good communication model and ability to follow up assignment actively with open mind
