Location: Xinzhuang, Shanghai (shuttle bus provided)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

 

- Lead the team to monitor relevant developments in science and technology in China region and foresight innovation fields

- Promote image of Evonik Industries being an innovation driven company, represent Evonik in respective events, organize such events for Evonik in China

- Maintain and extend networks within Chinese scientific community, and intensify open innovation approaches with leading research institutions and technology stakeholders in the region

- Coordinate the activities of internal R&D community, and lead to foster of innovation culture in the region

- Lead crossing industry innovation activity, drive cooperation between Evonik and innovative companies in the region

 

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITY

 

- Support business growth through open innovation approach in Greater China region

- Build and maintain good relationship with relevant institutions, represent Evonik in respective meetings

- Collect and analyze data regarding market trends in relevant fields to identify threats and opportunities for Evonik

- Conduct professional discussion with experts from relevant research areas

 

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE BASE

 

- Solid chemical and related educational background

- Good knowledge about Evonik businesses and technologies

- Broad knowledge in information analyzing and interpretation of acquired data

- Strategic thinking

- Fluent in English and Chinese

Mini Education level: PhD

Major preferred: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Material Science

Language skills: English

Minimum years in employment: 5

Preferred industry experience: Chemical Industry
