Job Description

The BMC Engineer will be based in Shanghai Zhangjiang. This position will development BMC FW for cloud computing system.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Take the major responsibility for BMC feature implement, BMC porting, BMC maintain & version control
• Source code Control and maintaining
• Analyze system requirement and hardware schematic for BMC design;
• Writing Functional spec base on system requirement and customer requirement.
• Debug and validate BMC firmware design, system level debug and root cause analysis.
• Provide exceptional support to external and internal customers, team members.
• Cooperate with design PM for BMC development schedule and deliverables.
• Implements procedures and environment for firmware source control, build, and release.
• Supports full firmware lifecycle including design, development, debugging and ongoing sustaining.
• Develops firmware release documentation

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

• Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of BMC firmware development experience.
• Solid in C programming and some experience in C++, Python or other script language.
• Knowledge of any of the following protocols and technologies: BMC, NVME, PCI-E, SCSI, Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), RAID and storage systems.
• Strong working knowledge of BMC vendor and code structure, ability to define and identify the specific BMC firmware requirements.
• Excellent Knowledge of BMC includes IPMI, SDR, KCS, FRU records, SEL, SOL, IPMB, PEF, Side-band LAN, and KVM etc.
• Have knowledge of common bus such as I2C, eSPI, LPC, NC-SI, PECI, SPI.
• Experience with server storage products with BMC chip Ast2400/ASt2500, Pilot 3/4 etc.
• Good knowledge of Storage Enclosure management.

• Experience of Redfish/RSD/RMC is a plus
