Position Overview:

    

She/he Provides engineering support to fix mechanical issues those are impacting production over a short or long period of time. In this role the engineer should have technical expertise for maintaining process equipment and he/she should continuously improve the availability and maintainability of the facility.

    

Responsibilities:

• Serves as a subject matter expert in troubleshooting of equipment failures and repairing techniques during root cause investigations
• Provides technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting, repairing, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
•  Ensures repairs, repairing techniques, equipment specific trainings are documented and are made available to maintenance staff.
• Supports the maintenance coordinator and MRO coordinator as required.
• Develops maintenance operating procedures or job packages for mechanical equipment.
• Enters Quality, Service and Product Performance information into the reporting system.
• Participates in developing/planning of the maintenance budget for supporting maintenance strategy implementation.
• Provides engineering input to ensure country/company standards are well followed during maintenance job package creation/modification. 
• Provides support during turnaround activities planning and scheduling.
• Gathers equipment reliability and performance data and feeds to the technical resource networks for clarifying equipment purchasing requirements, and the expectations of equipment performance, vendor performance.
• Complete Environmental, Health & Safety orientation and all required training.  Exhibits safe work behaviors and works safely without injury or impacting to the environment. Fulfills all requirements of the production area and/or maintenance area and participates in Environmental, Health & Safety programs.
• Supports Industrial Hygiene and other Environmental, Health & Safety work process activities.  Knowledgeable of DuPont Safety Standards.  Intervenes any unsafe activity. Incorporates safety considerations into planning and maintenance implementation. 
• Be proficient in using common maintenance management tools. Understands objectives of the Facility Maintenance Strategy for assigned areas and relevant equipment failures history. 
• Be able to analyze the impact of equipment failures on maintenance spending to identify improvement opportunities.  Initiates reliability related changes and effectively implements the change in own area of responsibility.  Understands principles of Long-Term Cost of Ownership.
• Responsible for timely, cost effective repair of equipment.  Reviews NDT, Oil analysis, Thickness checks, vibration analysis, etc. to provide appropriate guidance to field maintenance worker.
• Demonstrates basic understanding of Green belt skills. Successfully completes all in-depth Training modules.  Demonstrates understanding of DuPont version of GMWP, Operating Discipline Management System, OPWP and Environmental, Health & Safety work processes.
• Be able to extract data from Business Objects, Computerized Maintenance Management System, GAUR, etc.  Can effectively use work station applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Able to extract key data from process automation systems to troubleshoot reliability /maintenance issues (working with run plant engineer).   
• Completes ME Training matrix including Root Cause Investigation.  Be Knowledgeable of how to access SharePoint for retrieving job required information.           
• Knowledgeable of Quality, Service Product and Performance reporting tool.  Demonstrates the ability to apply the Root Cause Investigation methodology.

                                                                                

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of work experience in Chemical/mechanical Industry.
• Bachelor's Degree or above and major in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Foreign language skills (English) will be required both in verbal and written.
