At Unity we believe that content creators will greatly benefit from a more diverse distribution ecosystem. Unity Distribution Portal (UDP) lets developers distribute their game to multiple app stores through a single hub. UDP handles the heavy lifting and provides developers with a streamlined distribution flow by integrating directly with the app stores.

You will oversee the integration of Partner app stores into the UDP ecosystem. Your objective is to roll out new game distribution channels so that content creators can reach more players and generate more revenue. You will work with the Unity R&D team and with Partners to assess, scope, plan and deliver these integrations. You will remain the point of contact for all technical matters during the lifetime of these partnerships. You will report into the Product team and inform product development.

This is a full-time role based in Shanghai and will require occasional travel

Responsibilities

• Roll out Partner store integrations that serve the UDP mission of simplifying game distribution for content creators
• Assess each Partner’s technical landscape and define the adequate integration scope
• Plan, carry out, and manage integrations with both the UDP development team and the Partner teams, ensuring each integration meets a high standard of functionality and robustness
• Grow the technical relationship with Partners post the initial integration, with the objective to not just maintain, but strengthen the integrations
• Produce, structure and maintain project artefacts – from documentation to test plans
• Identify Partner-specific requirements which inform or impact UDP product development
• Communicate status and progress to Unity management and project stakeholders
• Handle technical discussions with prospective Partners

Requirements

• Proven project management experience in enterprise software (such as content management systems, SaaS platforms, white-label solutions) and specifically with API-based integrations; ideally in the gaming industry
• Technical account management experience demonstrated in a context of building and maintaining a multi-party software ecosystem
• Strong knowledge of agile principles applied to software development
• Understanding of the mobile gaming industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication, essential from writing clear documentation to running a technical workshop with foreign partners
• Fluent English
