Context

Data is key to support Decathlon strategies in China. More and more intelligent solutions are consuming data to take faster and more relevant decisions. The amount of use-cases is huge and this highlights the need to define and animate a Data strategy.

Responsibility as China Chief Data Officer

• Along with all the actors involved on Data topics, you define a Data strategy based on the market’s best practices and Decathlon China’s needs, considering its internal and external environment. This strategy covers Data governance, human organization, skills definition, technology choices. You will also beneficiate from a strong support from the IT team.

• You are responsible for the definition of the Data Governance: formulation of policy to optimize, secure and leverage information as an asset for Decathlon.

• You coordinate the action plans required to implement the strategy.

• You raise the whole company’s awareness about data challenges.

• You establish the monitoring of the data policies and processes.

Who are you

• You can quickly analyse a situation and define a strategy

• You have strong leadership and also flexibility to adapt to change

• You are good at listening and understanding people

• Capacity to challenge by high demanding level to yourself and others

• Able to work in an international context and open minded

• Good level of English and communication skills

• You already have a strong Data knowledge & a successful track record in the data management field

• You can understand and question technical choices

• Retail industry experience is a plus
