职位描述

EHSS is Environmental, Health, Safety and Security

Supervisor: Bursar 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Plans and coordinates safety, environmental, health and security programs requiring application of safety compliance
  2. Develop and execute appropriate strategies for EHSS activities
  3. Develops and implements programs and policies for monitoring and preventing physical hazards
  4. Surveys, compiles and analyses data relating to occupational, environmental and security issues such as air pollution, noise, temperature, lighting which are known or suspected of being real or potential detriments to health.
  5. Performs environmental, health and safety evaluations and facilitate emergency response duties, including organising fire drill and follow up on actions as necessary
  6. Set up environment, health, safety and security standard operation procedures (SOPs)
  7. Carry out risk assessments to identify risks and hazards in the campuses and work with facility, operations, bus, catering teams and PMC to prepare risk assessment report
  8. Develop annual EHSS plan according to risk assessment report
  9. Prepare regular site inspection report and follow up with the improvement (e.g. catering, bus, facility and security)
  10. Work with academic team and operation/service team to organise trainings related to safety to pupils and staff
  11. Work with services team to monitor and ensure school bus safety
  12. Support school events and monitor from security and safety perspective
  13. Ensure school daily operation comply with local regulation
  14. Direct compliance programs and assure site compliance with all state and local regulatory requirements
  15. Execute procedures to implement environmental, safety, health, security and hygiene control programs
  16. Develop and implement continuous improvement for EHSS programs and performance
  17. Ensure that employees comply with safety rules and regulations
  18. Ensure systems are in place to address and monitor on a regular basis
  19. Provide professional problem-solving input to both short term and long-term issues
  20. Provide timely information and guidance for the leadership including EHSS performance trends, root cause corrective actions for accidents or near misses; and support in development and implementation of strategic action plans to achieve
  21. Communications and relations
  • Provide timely and effective communication with senior leadership, site leaders, staff and associates.
22.Health and Safety practices
  • Recommend safe practice of operating procedures when handling equipment and facilities
  • Current and continuing commitment to Equal Opportunity and Occupational Safety and Health/ Workplace Health & Safety in all aspects of employment and service delivery
  • Part of Health and Safety committee
23. Actively participate in any related training held by the school.
24. Other duties as assigned by the bursar


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, major in Environmental, health and safety focus or related subject
  • Language:Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Working Experience:At least 3 years of progressive EHS experience, ideally in a context that includes international staff
  • Management Experience:Experience in supervisory capacity is preferred
  • A minimum of five years’ post qualification experience
  • Fluency in English and Chinese
  • Strong ability in audit and project management
  • Commitment to democratic governance and collaborative, data-based decision-making
  • Rigorous approach to problem-solving
  • The ability to priorities workload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with a diverse range of people and interpersonal skills
  • Technology user skills sufficient to prepare reports in Excel and Word, and aptitude to operate appropriate databases
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Ability to work to tight timelines
  • Able to work long hours and occasional weekends for events and emergencies
