The candidate will provide manufacturing engineering and technical decisions for cable assembly products.

Desired experience:

At least 5 years developing processes and procedures for the manufacture of cables, including general assembly processes, over-molding and testing, and must posses extensive knowledge and experience in the theory, design, and manufacturing of Audio/Video Cables (HDMI, Display Port, DVI, USB, Network, Fiber Optic and AOC cables).  This would include detail knowledge and experience in the transmission of 4K video signals and beyond, as well as emissions (EMI / EMC) testing and environmental compliance.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering  or Industrial Engineering or similar degree.

Job responsibilities include

• Interact with New Product Introduction, Manufacturing Engineering teams and cross-functional teams in China and USA to develop, implement and maintain cable assembly process methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner, and provide feedback early in the development to improve manufacturability.
• Recommend and implement improvements and/or modifications on existing production lines for sequence of operations, equipment utilization, personnel skill requirements and other related areas of opportunity.
• Design and implement fixturing to aid the production of cable assemblies with high level of consistency.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in material and processes by conducting process capability studies and reducing process variation.

• Document cable assembly processes, specifications and procedures throughout the facility, and develop Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency on cable assembly operations throughout all product lines,

• Work with Test Engineering to develop, implement and maintain test platforms.

• Work with QC to analyze and provide solutions and disposition on non-conformances for product and materials.
• Mentor and coach Engineers, technicians and operators on cable assembly best practices.
• Participate in technical review of equipment supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
• Responsible for staying current on equipment technologies, and for reviewing proposals regarding new or replacement of existing production / processing equipment necessary to maintain the product quality levels.

Candidate must have good organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Must have good attitude, a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work on time and with good quality. Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events, as the company is a very fast paced environment. Must be highly motivated, work well in a team environment and have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing in both, Chinese and English.
