职位描述

Job Description:
Responsible for managing groups of major product lines to include product planning, strategic product marketing and commercial marketing for those assigned products in the China market. Ensure the appropriate performance of assigned product lines in terms of market share and gross margin, and the identification and implementation of new product requirements.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Generate and maintain five year strategic plans for assigned products, documenting strategies, utilization of resources, impact on business results and action plans required to ensure business unit objectives are achieved for these products.

2) Identify and quantify new products, market and business opportunities for products which are synergistic with existing products and distribution channels in worldwide markets.

3) Provide market surveys and analysis to guide the desired product specifications on new products and for line extenders to maintain the effectiveness of existing product lines.

4) Identify and work with all possible sources for the right new products, including brand labeling, licensing and acquisition as well as in-house product development.

5) Maintain knowledge of trends in state-of-the-art technologies, standards, codes and legal requirements to ensure that assigned products best meet these requirements.

6) Implement plans to obsolete products as required as part of ongoing product strategies, to ensure the most effective use of our manufacturing resources in providing the required product spectrum.

7) Seek out and implement cost reductions as part of the product strategies.

8) Work with Development and Manufacturing through PMT's and all necessary means to ensure that product requirements are properly defined and that the process of putting them into production is effective and timely.

9) Maintain effective use of the assigned personnel and ensure the staff is maintained at an effective level of training and competence.

10) Ensure that forecasts are provided for all new and existing products within his responsibility such that Production can effectively plan and meet the Business Unit's sales requirements.

11) To assure that corporate product safety policies are adhered to.

12) Ensure control and implementation of commercial issues including pricing, negotiations and promotion of assigned products.

13) Ensures thorough familiarity with policies and procedures relating to standards of business conduct and trains and motivates subordinates in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of such policies and procedures.

14) Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, etc.) as well as The company/The company Automation policies and procedures.

15) Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the The company Automation Information Network.

16) Coordinates product launches and business performance with Global / Regional Product Management
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1) Ten years experience with product marketing and a close familiarity with the functions of development, production, application, sales and distribution.

2) Five to fifteen years managerial experience in marketing and/or product management.

3) Direct experience in formulating, producing and implementing strategic planning.

4) Good working knowledge of international, national and trade standards and practices of the industry.

5) Experience in use of commercial practices of our industry with regard to pricing distribution etc.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Engineering degree is required.

MBA is strongly recommended.
