PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all the inventory of Indochino.
He is responsible for keeping materials, parts, products and stock items supplied and readily accessible; maintaining records and ordering stock at appropriate times, as well as forecasting future stock needs based on orders, seasons or scheduled production.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining an adequate but tight stock of inventory items
- Ensuring Just-in-time (JIT) practices on inventory holding
- Updating of back-end fabric availability when new fabric arrives
- Tracking of fabric usage, keeping supervisor informed of urgent purchases status
- Updating and recording of actual fabric use by tailor - updating back-end accordingly for slight variations
- -Updating total inventory status on excel spreadsheet for total daily usage
- -Running errands - which could include going to fabric market to show samples, pick up samples, buy basic fabrics with samples
- Recording shirt orders for shirts using our own fabric and preparing/cutting of fabric for suppliers on a daily basis
- Keeping the fabric area in order and labeling and organizing as required
- Checking delivery of fabric with packing list, taking piece samples and numbering and labeling
- Summarizing the fabric going out on a weekly basis, so that the information is readily available for invoicing at the end of the month. Same for suiting and shirt invoicing
- Ensure invoices submitted by suppliers are accurate and to report to supervisor if shown otherwise
- Advise the staff about how to maintain proper inventory controls
- Responsible for all issues inventory
- Responsible to setting up systems and inventory control
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by VPO

QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluent in English, foreigner or Chinese with over sea working experience as

- Certified diploma/ degree on related fields
- At least 8 years experience in an apparel, warehouse or distribution centre
- Personable, self motivated and good management skills
- Able to work in a team
- Good interpersonal & communication skills in order to relate & communicate effectively with both local and foreign employees
- He should have an aggressive, direct and intensive approach and be willing to work long hours
