The Sr Systems Administrator's primary responsibilities are overseeing the operational health of the SCCM and SCOM infrastructures, as well as owning the framework, best practices and implementation of operational activities such as Scripting, Group Policy Administration, Patching and Software Delivery requests.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual who is passionate about delivering value to an IT organization and creating positive impact for the business. This position requires attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, manage to timelines, and excellent communication and customer service skills in a global enterprise environment.

Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft's System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) in a large enterprise network

Identify and script custom SCOM monitoring alerts and configure management packs

Assist/Mentor lower level administrators with software and patch delivery, and group policy administration, and basic monitoring, ensuring best practices are followed, and assisting with troubleshooting and correcting customer issues

Develop Powershell and vbscripts to perform actions and automations

Determine incident and other trends to diagnose problems in the infrastructure and identify and create improvements in operations

Documenting administrative and troubleshooting steps for supported systems, software and equipment

Document fixes and workarounds and review other submitted articles for publishing in the Knowledgebase

Create custom reports as needed for customer requests

Create, update and close Remedy trouble tickets

Work with vendor to troubleshoot and remediate issues

Work with engineering and other groups as the representative on emerging technologies and projects

Other duties as required
