The primary objective of this position is to provide technical, application and engineering support of the ERICO Brand product lines to external customers (specifying engineers, designers, channel-partners, installers, contractors and end-users) as well as internal customers (commercial teams including Sales, Customer Care, Product Management and Marketing). The position entails extensive contact with customers and employees across multiple functions within the nVent.

Key role responsibilities

• Provide engineered solutions (lightning protection design and risk analysis, earthing design in accordance with IEC standards) to meet the requirements of nVent ERICO customers.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for ERICO products, including their application, for nVent functions including, but not limited to, Sales, Customer Care, Product Management, Legal, Operations, etc.
• Assist customers in the proper selection and application of nVent EFS ERICO Brand products.
• Provide design support to nVent ERIFLEX brand of MTO FLEXIBAR requests
• Support sales with seminars. Participate in industry and trade group and conferences, including writing white papers, and presenting at tradeshow.
• Visit customer sites to review applications, provide training and making recommendations about the use of ERICO brand products based on site survey.
• Provide market specific intelligence and feedback on products and services to the commercial teams.          Assist commercial teams with VOC visits.

• Provide technical application assistance to identify modified and engineered systems based on customer specification and application requirements.
• Conduct technical review of marketing collateral including but not limited to data sheets, email blasts, catalogs, application guides, and social media posts.
• Review training literature for technical accuracy including installation guides and procedures, operations manuals, online learning management systems (LMS).

• Represent nVent in industry codes and standards committees.
• May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

  
  

qualifications and experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering background (mechanical preferred or electrical).
• 3 years+ of working experience in electrical related industry (electrical power, earthing, surge protection and lightning protection systems).
• Skills in researching, analyzing, and recommending product based on application
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (build and maintain effective work relationships and establish credibility with internal and external customers and channel partners).
• Good command of the English language to communicate with engineering management and rest of nVent ERICO organization outside of China.
• Demonstrated skill in managing multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
• Ability to create and present technical product presentation in front of customers.
• AutoCAD & Solidworks skills are preferred.
• Practical electrical skills.
• Willing to travel throughout the country on a regular basis to support the sales effort.
• Knowledge of programing in Microsoft Excel is a plus.
• Familiarity with lightning protection/earthing standards is a plus.
