Job Description: Field Service Engineer

OVERVIEW:

The key responsibility of this China based position of Field Service Engineer, is to support our high volume PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) equipment used in the manufacturing of semiconductor applications for the LED-, Power Electronics-, Optics- and Wireless Communication industries.

Duties and Responsibilities:
? Provide On-Site Support to customers using Evatec’s equipment for the manufacturing requirements
? React to system down emergencies to ensure the systems are return to production in a timely matter
? Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Evatec’s products by using the training you will receive and your knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment
? Ability to read technical drawings
? Communicate with our technical support team locally and business unit leads in Switzerland to ensure corrective actions are taken efficiently and precisely
? Travel upon business needs to other region, will include international travel for training on Evatec’s products and processes
? Possess both electrical and mechanical skills
? Work both independently and in a team environment
? Act as a Liaison between Evatec’s customers and Evatec headquarters to ensure all concerns are addressed accurately and effectively for long term resolution

Skills & Specifications:
? Excellent written and oral communication skills in Chinese and English language
? Be able to quickly adapt to new circumstances
? Good decision-making skills
? Ability to encourage and motivate people with responsible attitude
? Ability to read and understand German is beneficial, but not required
? Ability to travel

Education and Background:
? Prefer applicants with an associate or bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 3 -5 years’ experiences in customer service
