DEFINITION

To provide routine checks to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of all processes of quality.

To oversee and head the QC team and liaise with personnel from other departments to ensure the smooth implementation of company quality control in all aspects of manufacturing process.

To establish, implement and sustain quality parameters/standards and deploy it effectively by training, documentation and other appropriate means across the organization in all production areas. Ensure production of garments adhere to Vertbaudet quality standard and requirements by periodically conducting quality inspection.

Principal missions QUALITY CONTROL l Lead and develop the Quality Assurance System in China. l Provide QC advice to your team and factories before and during the manufacturing process. l Ensure a pre-prod meeting is conducted at the factory premises for each style followed by a strict inline and a final inspection ensuring the required Vertbaudet quality standard is met by all factories l Anticipate quality issues that may arise in the manufacturing process. Ensure the implementation of preventive action to avoid any conformity in inspection service and management system. l Provide technical support to your quality team, the merchandisers or buyers to ensure product quality. l Monitor productions closely when need to ensure quality meets specifications and that there is no quality claim. l Together with Quality team in France establish product quality control procedures and training for all suppliers/ factories to monitor the quality process. l Ensure the test procedures according to HQ’s orientation.. l Analyze the claims related to quality problems and propose solutions for immediate correction or improvement. l Evaluate and measure all new suppliers and recommend separation when failed to improve. Identify and record supplier quality performance and problems by scorecard; propose solutions to any non-conformities in relation to inspection service and quality system. l Create inspection schedules for QC team. Monitor workload Analysis and Inspection tracking charts to ensure a consistently balanced workload to avoid inspection delays. l Set up, assist and help factories to improve quality for the long term. l Inspect materials, accessories, parts, components and products for color, measurements, labels and overall quality. l Make judgment on acceptance and rejection of marginal quality cases. l Ensure implementation of factory auditing procedure and CSR. COMMUNICATION l Build a good cooperation between ‘QC’ and ‘Sr Merchandisers’ they must add value for each other. l Ensure timely communication in a proactive manner with merchandising/production teams on production and factory issues which may cause late deliveries. l Investigate reasons for product rejection. l Control inspection company l Coordinate with overseas QC teams to identify/rectify repeating supplier performance issues through communication and education. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT l Leading quality team to manage entire work process to ensure targets are achieved and procedures are followed. l Be a team manager, stay in touch, advice, train your QA’s one on one and arrange team information/training days. Hire/Train/Coach/Dismiss and manage team members according to the companies policies in and in agreement with HR. l Manage the day to day China QA team functions including daily work load of QA, budget, training and setting yearly goals and annual review and rating of supplier and QA performance along with Global Sourcing director. l Promote and upkeep ethical work behavior among colleagues. l Coach and develop QA by providing the appropriate exposure, technical training, and growth opportunities and identify QC inspectors who require further guidance and work with them on a one on one basis to enhance their knowledge and performance. Reporting l Take responsibility for results of the team. Develop KPI’s to measure the departmental performance together with Director. l Provide advices to align Vertbaudet quality procedures. l Prepare monthly team KPI’s analysis. l Scoorecard & black list. l Work closed with Asia global sourcing director and Quality director of HQ to review the passing rate and claim rate.

REQUIREMENTS

- College or Above. Preferable major in Garment/Textile.

- At least 15 years experience in quality control of Kids garment, accessories and Hardgoods in an International company for European market with at least 5 years in management level.

- Experience of textile/garment production with global sourcing office, brand buying office, buying agent or trading company from similar position is preferred.

- With sound knowledge of apparel technology and quality standard, textile material, production.

- With sound knowledge in Fabric & Garment both on woven/knit.

- With sound product knowledge on all kinds of garment products and familiar with European standards and social compliance.

- With sound knowledge of garment testing standards and product compliance.

- Good planning and organization skills for developing clear, actionable and measurable plans, schedules, or priorities

- Solid experience of factory auditing and inspections (Inline/final)

- Strong communication skills. solution oriented, handle stress well, responsible, honest.

- Strong leadership skills

- Reliable, high level of integrity, pro-active, self-motivated, organized, positive, customer driven, interest in fashion, and quality conscious, team work spirit and independent working style.
