Guidecraft, founded in 1966, is a design company in early childhood education, with operations in China, India, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam. We are part of a family of companies involved in early childhood education that includes preschools, publishing, retailing, design, manufacturing, and professional development. Guidecraft works closely with publishers, universities, distributors, and retailers to bring products to the early childhood education market that positively impact the lives of children and families. Our products span environments, furniture, manipulatives, gross motor and toys, marrying the interdisciplinary aspect of early childhood education into a contextual, global model that puts a nature-based, Reggio-inspired environment at the heart of our work, with a strong emphasis on constructivism and the arts. We provide turnkey services for preschool brands, inclusive of equipment supply, environmental design, and branding. The goal of Guidecraft is to improve the lives of children through access to, and implementation of, high-quality products and environments within the field of early childhood education.

Guidecraft is seeking an Educational Marketing Manager who will work with our different divisions, inclusive of design, marketing and sales, to help shape, guide, direct, and manage educational content and projects for websites, catalogs, conferences and trade shows. Position will report to the president of Guidecraft, who is based in the United States, but spends time in China, and will additionally work closely with the publishing division, and affiliated authors, professors and other specialists in early childhood education.

The candidate must have five-plus years in marketing with a strong emphasis on digital platforms, the ability to move across projects and divisions, quickly organize information, and deliver on deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent oral communication, written communication, the ability to travel internationally, and to work with high-level delegations and industry organizations are also prerequisites. Most importantly, the candidate must be open, creative and fun, with a strong desire to change teacher’s and children’s lives through access to quality educational environments and experiences.

Qualifications:

• Strong written and oral skills
• Masters Degree in either marketing or early childhood education
• Five years experience in marketing and/or early childhood education
• Strong technical skills in regard to computers and ERP systems
• Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
