Major Responsibilities:



-Work closely and support Shanghai Tech Center on all business and strategic decision-making. Strategically monitor and control the costs of the tech center as a business leader.

-Initiate, implement, drive and monitor action plans to improve engineering project accounting system and cash flow performance.

-Gather and analyze data for quarterly and year-end financial schedules and reports.

-Oversee accounting processes including billing, payables, payroll and month-end closing, ensuring accurate account reconciliations and account analysis.

-Provide financial reporting, planning and business support services fundamental to the achievement of Engineering and Sales and Marketing budgets.

-Prepare budgets; perform in depth financial analysis of various business scenarios (business case study), working with multiple currencies.

-Support all Asia Pacific category cost centres with Hyperion loading and consolidations, including budgets, forecasts, and month-end results. Assist Chief Engineers and Directors with preparation of budgets and forecasts. Assist in collection, analysis, presentation and distribution of business results across all product lines.

-Participate in specific business (process) improvement activities, for example LEAN events, procedure standardization initiative; IS projects aimed at streamlining business processes, i.e. T&E, vendor payment, etc.

-Help to deal with internal procurement function within Shanghai Tech Centre.

-Preparation of SOX testing, gap solving and documentation process.



Key Competencies:

-Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance

-More than 6 years of accounting/analysis experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, at least 2 years experience in a management position. Has exposure to Financial & Management Accounting, Treasury Management and Budgetary Controls.

-Analytical Skills - Operational / financial analysis skills.

-Financial/Accounting skills - Accounting principles, audit and process control practices.

-Good leadership and communication skills.

-Ability to lead courageously.

-Good interpersonal skills / foster teamwork in others.

-Presentation skills.

-Efficient self-organization skills to maintain high level of multi-tasking.

-Adaptability - be able to adapt to varying time constraints, resource levels and organizational situations.

-Negotiating skills.

-Proficient in Computer literacy, including Hyperion and QAD experience, is essential.

-CMA desirable.

-Demonstrated ability to work with Senior Management team.

-Strong English & communication skills.

-Travel may be required.

-Demonstrated leadership abilities

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with global team and JV partners, strong cost accounting experience, computer proficient.
