Job Description

AMJBio is seeking for highly motivated analytical expert for a position in our R&D facility located in Pudong Shanghai. The primary focus on the role will be to support the internal analytical R&D needs. The successful candidate will be joining a group of innovative individuals with multidisciplinary backgrounds ranging from synthetic chemistry, enzyme biochemistry, fermentation technologies to bioprocess engineering. A bachelor or master degree with industrial R&D experience in analytical chemistry with a demonstrated ability in innovative problem-solving skills is expected.

Primary Responsibilities:

1) Perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses of samples

2) Characterize samples using analytical instruments and software packages, including HPLC, GC, IC, UV-vis, IR, NMR, and other common analytical laboratory instrumentation

3) Instruments routine maintenance and repair

4) Analytical method development and optimization

5) Monitor and troubleshoot chemical processes using a variety of instrumental analytical techniques

6) Maintain close collaborations with scientists and engineers in other R&D functions

7) Generate SOPs, experiment reports, and use their knowledge of chemistry to promote a safe work environment

8) Maintain a clear, detailed, and up-to-date records of research in a notebook

9) Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

? Degree in Chemistry or related discipline with Master plus 5 years, or PhD plus 2 years of relevant industry experience

? Must have a good understanding of chemistry and analytical chemistry principles

? Demonstrated practical instrument troubleshooting and maintenance

? Experience in method development

? Energetic, self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills

? Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task

? Meet deliverables within specifications and timelines

? Carry out job responsibilities and assignments safely and maintain a clean and safe work area
