1. Position Summary:

Stationed at a subcontractor/partner location, the engineer – AVI/Test/Metrology works with his peers to

• Ensuring stable performance and driving overall uptime by performing predictive maintenance activities on Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) and Test Equipment. Analyzes equipment losses to improve OEE, and resolve chronic equipment issues. Improvement activities include upgrades to enhance equipment performance, maintainability, reliability, ease-to-use and service-life.
• Optimize vision algorithms together with vendor’s machine vision engineer. Review and validate cosmetic anomalies against specifications, running correlation and calibrations across equipment to ensure standardization.

2. Key Responsibilities/Duties:

· Performing maintenance and process tasks.

· Perform predictive maintenance through data analysis.

· Collect and analyze machine performance data to improve on overall equipment capability and utilization in term of OEE.

· Improve equipment and system in order to increase service life expectancy and quality.

· Organizes and spare part management.

· Perform standard buy-off procedure on any new equipment purchased and new product released.

· Upgrade equipment and piece-parts to enhance performance, reliability and service-life.

· Perform and analyze GRnR.

· Perform daily calibration check on the measurement and critical parts

· Perform correlation studies between equipment

· Validate machine rejects against specification ( No over/under reject ), and work with vision team to optimize algorithm after validation

· Work with on-site team, operations lead and supplier quality lead to feedback on yield pareto and potential improvement actions

· Ability to read and apply GD&T using industry standard techniques

· Ability to read and apply Measurement System Operating Procedure (MSOP)

· approving and ensuring finish-goods are meeting specifications before finish-goods being inventoried (daily and/or shiftly)
